What
are the advantages of the COMPLETEHEAT®
system
over a conventional heating system?
Q: What are the advantages
of the CompleteHeat® system over a conventional heating system?
A: Imagine that cold
showers are a thing of the past. Doing laundry, running the dishwasher
and washing the dog can all happen simultaneously with virtually unlimited
hot water. In most conventional heating systems, hot water is provided
by a stand-alone water heater, and a furnace or heat pump provides warmth
inside the home. With the CompleteHeat® combination heating system, the
functions of space heating and water heating are incorporated into one
efficient unit, so you get virtually unlimited hot water, high-efficiency
and flexibility, all without compromising your home's comfort. What else
could you possibly ask for?
VIRTUALLY UNLIMITED
HOT WATER
Conventional water heating systems rely on relatively low British Thermal
Unit (BTU) heat input coupled with larger storage tanks to maintain an
adequate supply of hot water. The disadvantage of this method of water
heating is that it requires significant energy recovery time to replenish
its reservoir of hot water. High heat inputs and fast recovery, combined
with Lennox' exclusive comfort control technology, ensures that the CompleteHeat
combination heating system can deliver a nearly constant supply of hot
water, even during periods of peak demand. That's good to know, especially
if you have a growing family, teenagers or frequent visitors.
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
In stand-alone water heaters, burners tend to be located at the bottom
of the unit. In this configuration, the water is heated from the bottom
of the tank. Deposits often collect at the bottom of the water heater,
covering the tank's bottom dome and trapping heat being produced by the
burner. This trapped, excess heat can cause cracks and leaks, a common
failure of water heaters. The CompleteHeat combination heating system
features a burner at the top of the unit and heats the water from the
top down. A pump on top of the unit circulates the water. Not only does
this top-down heating and circulation help prevent damaging deposits from
forming, but thanks to CompleteHeat system's additional heating capacity,
water is heated much more rapidly.
In addition, the CompleteHeat
combination heating system was designed with flexible installation in
mind. The CompleteHeat unit's air module can be installed just about anywhere
in upflow, downflow or horizontal applications, either side-by-side or
separated. You may actually gain floor space if you're replacing an older
unit!
HIGH-EFFICIENCY
The CompleteHeat combination heating system is a high-efficiency unit.
With a Combined Annual Efficiency (CAE) of 90%, CompleteHeat system offers
a considerable energy savings over traditional stand-alone water heaters,
which typically offer only 65-75% efficiency ratings. In addition, the
CompleteHeat system's high-efficiency rating is superior to older furnaces,
which operate at about 70% efficiency. By using the same fuel to heat
your water as it does to heat your home, the CompleteHeat system gives
you outstanding, efficient home comfort and a virtually endless supply
of hot water.
ENHANCEMENT CAPABILITIES
The CompleteHeat combination heating system offers you an excellent opportunity
to upgrade your home comfort system and increase the value of your property
at the same time, by adding enhancements such as radiant floor heating
and snow melt applications. No more stepping onto a cold floor or shoveling
your driveway, Lennox makes it easy to upgrade with the CompleteHeat system.
Most residential water heaters simply do not have the heating capacity
to accommodate these multiple options.
EASY TO MAINTAIN
With only one unit handling the hot water and heating demands for your
home, that's.One Less Thing To Worry About.® Instead of having to deal
with a plumber for your hot water needs, and a heating and air conditioning
technician for your comfort needs, you only need to make one call. Your
local Lennox dealer can handle all system maintenance and repairs.
